A new clip from Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 has been released, showing Tory (Peyton List) and her new Cobra Kai members suffer an early defeat at Sekai Taikai after battling a Mortal Kombat star's new dojo. Cobra Kai season 6 part 1 ended with the death of Tory’s mother, the pain alongside other extenuating factors making her decide to join the titular dojo, now operated by John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim). Part 2 is when the Sekai Taikai tournament will begin, meaning new character and group introductions, including inevitable new antagonists.

Now, Netflix (via Entertainment Weekly) has released a clip from Cobra Kai season 6 part 2, showing Tory, Kwon (Brandon H. Lee), and Yoon (Daniel Kim) facing off against a new martial arts group, the Iron Dragons. At first, it seems they'll be taking on six members, before four of them bow out, leaving two new characters, Zara (Rayna Vallandingham) and Axel (Patrick Luwis) to attend the fight. Tory tells her companions to fight Axel while she goes up against Zara, underestimating just how powerful both of them are.

Because she underestimated their power, Tory’s decision ends up costing Cobra Kai the event, with the Iron Dragons coming out on top. Zara mocks her before walking away, waving to the crowd. The scene shifts over to Johnny’s (William Zabka) perspective, where he catches a glimpse of Sensei Wolf, the Iron Dragons’ leader, portrayed by Mortal Kombat star Lewis Tan. Check out the full clip below:

The cast of Cobra Kai is about to expand thanks to Sekai Taikai, which will feature a whopping 16 different martial arts teams across the whole tournament. The Iron Dragons are clearly one that's going to stand out, given how fast they took down Tory and her new companions. However, this also means they'll prove a challenge to Miyagi-Do, becoming a prominent enemy for everyone to contend with as the tournament plays out. While that doesn't mean the established dojos will come together, it does highlight their similar struggles.

Tory may not be the only fighter Kreese stole from Miyagi-do's ranks in Cobra Kai season 6. Another surprise defection may soon be revealed.

Tory's mother's death in Cobra Kai season 6 part 1, coupled with her sudden loss at Sekai Taikai, may also push her over the edge emotionally. She already feels lost because of what happened, having joined Kreese once more because she feels so disconnected from everything having to do with martial arts at Miyagi-Do. While this scene clearly introduces the Iron Dragons, and a newfound enemy in Sensei Wolf, it could also be what pushes the karate student to reconsider her decision and question the path she's now set herself on.

Given Tan's casting as Wolf, it appears the Iron Dragons will be the next prominent adversary in Cobra Kai, acting as one of the last rival groups in the show. Given how easily Zara took down Tory, it seems the existing teams, including Miyagi-Do, are going to have to consider their strategies when taking on such a powerful force. However, if they're able to play their cards right, perhaps they can defeat them, with the story interweaving with Tory's and which dojo she decides to permanently align with.

Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 arrives on Netflix on November 15, 2024. Part 3, the final episodes of the show, come out in 2025.
