One man was taken into custody after fleeing deputies on a bicycle Tuesday.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office shared that on Nov. 5, deputies located 48-year-old Dennis Bowen on a bike on Route 228, near Millersburg.

Bowen was reportedly known to have an active Callaway County Probation Violation warrant for his arrest.

Deputies stated the warrant was connected to a prior charge for Felony Third-Degree Domestic Assault resulting in a $10,000 bond.

Around 1:38 p.m., law enforcement attempted to take the suspect into custody when he fled on foot into a wooded area. Authorities searched for Bowen with the assistance of K9 units Maverick and Tajfun.

Deputies reported at 2:14 p.m., one of the K9s located the man and he was taken into custody.

Bowen faces pending charges for evading arrest and was booked into the Callaway County Jail with a $10,000.
