The head of Hillsboro is capping off his final year in office with statewide recognition.

Hillsboro Mayor Steve Callaway took home the James C. Richards Award during the League of Oregon Cities’ 99th Annual Conference, held Thursday, Oct. 17, to Saturday, Oct. 19, in Bend.
