Is Linn Grant the trailblazer women's golf desperately needed to gain the recognition it deserves?
“I just hope people recognize women’s golf,” Linn Grant said once. And she’s done more than her part to make that wish come true, pushing herself beyond her limits and building a name as one of golf’s finest. Is there anything Grant can’t do? When it comes to setting records, she’s already miles ahead. Grant has made history twice at the Volvo Scandinavian Mixed Open: first, in June 2022, as the first woman to win a DP World Tour event, and then in June 2024, as the first to claim the title twice. Impressed, already?
Wait, there is a lot to be told. The 25-year-old’s breakthrough win at the 2022 Scandinavian Mixed was just the beginning. Right after, she snagged a one-stroke victory over fellow Swede Lisa Pettersson at the 2022 Skafto Open, grabbing her fourth Ladies European title that year—and her seventh overall, counting her three Sunshine Ladies Tour wins. She didn’t stop there, either, picking up more wins at the 2023 Jabra Ladies Open and her first LPGA Tour title at the 2023 Dana Open. With each win, Grant climbed higher in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, eventually landing her spot on Europe’s Solheim Cup team for the first time in 2023.
With a résumé like that, it’s hard not to wonder what drives her top-notch game. Her talent, sure, but let’s take a look at what else brings her game to life.

According to Today’s Golfer.com, Grant uses a PING G430 LST driver paired with a Fujikura Speeder TR 757 shaft. With six tournament wins under her belt, indeed, the driver is proof of her efficiency. And why not? The G430 LST offers significant distance, with a seven-yard gain for players swinging above 105 mph, making it a crucial part of her success. Retailing at $579, looking at Grant’s perfect swings, it’s fair to say that it’s worth every penny.
As for her fairway woods, Grant opts for the PING G425 Max fairway wood, set at 14.5° and paired with a PING Tour 65 shaft. The G425, retailing for $373.99, is designed with a wide range of golfers in mind. While the LST offers a lower spin for those with high swing speeds, the SFT provides an easy-launching draw bias, perfect for players with mid to lower swing speeds. Making it an ideal partner for Grant’s smooth game on the course.
For the hybrids, she uses PING G400 hybrids (19°, 22°) with Tour AD-HY 65 shafts. Even though these models are several years old, she still prefers the G400s over newer options. The G400 hybrids are known for their versatility, making them suitable for various players. It costs $139.99.

Moving forward, her choice of irons is equally impressive. She carries a mix of PING irons, including the 5-iron and 6-iron taken from the i210 iron range. Known as an excellent players’ iron, the i210 is a fantastic option for club golfers seeking a reliable iron to keep in their bags for years. As for the price, it retails for $188.00. Additionally, she uses PING Blueprint S irons, featuring her 7-iron and pitching wedge. The Blueprint S is a classic players’ iron known for its clean, compact profile, and retails for $1,400.
That’s all for her impressive collection for the long game, but what about the climax of her performance—the short game?

Making the right choice of wedge is crucial. That’s when PING Glide Forged Pro wedges enter. She carries a set of three wedges, each with 4° of loft between them. Designed for skilled golfers—especially those with PINGg i59 or Blueprint irons in their bags—these wedges are known as the ultimate shotmaker’s tool. They retail for $199.00 each.
And for the final game, a perfect Putter is all Grant needs. Hence she relies on PING PLD Prime Tyne prototype putter. Priced at $449.00, it is designed with input from the game’s top players, offering exceptional accuracy and consistency. These putters are not only beautifully designed but also embody a classy, premium feel.

Last but not least, the ball. The most essential equipment in Grant’s bag is surprisingly not of PING. She relies on the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball. It’s worth noting that World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler used the Pro V1 to secure his victory at the Masters and rise to the top. The Titleist Pro V1 is a favorite among golfers for all good reasons. It offers long distance, a penetrating flight, and exceptional consistency. Designed for players who prioritize total performance, it is priced at $55 per dozen.
