New Release: Srixon's All-New ZXi Woods - Golf Australia Magazine

Nov 04, 2024

At the heart of the ZXi Woods lineup is SRIXON’s innovative i-FLEX technology—a completely reimagined face thickness pattern that optimises energy transfer from the club face to the ball for maximum efficiency and enhanced ball speed. To achieve the flexibility and ball speed targets set for specific ZXi Drivers, SRIXON engineers have used a new titanium, Ti72S. This material is not only lighter and stronger but also exceptionally durable. The design features a thin face centre supported by thicker sections on the heel and toe, forming the unique i-FLEX shape for optimal performance with every swing.

“With i-FLEX technology in the ZXi Woods, we’ve unlocked a new level of performance,” said Jeff Brunski, Vice President of Research and Development at SRIXON. “The flexibility of these clubs enables a more efficient energy transfer, which generates more power at impact. Golfers will feel the enhanced strength and responsiveness of these Woods with every swing, sending their shots further.”

ZXi Drivers

The ZXi Driver lineup includes three unique models. The ZXi Driver combines explosive ball speed with high MOI for consistent drives, forgiveness, and lower spin. The ZXi LS Driver offers a low-spin profile, ideal for players with aggressive swings who prefer a lower ball flight and extra distance. Rounding out the lineup, SRIXON introduces the ZXi MAX Driver—the brand’s highest MOI Driver to date—delivering easy swing feel, maximum forgiveness, and enhanced confidence on the tee.

A notable feature of the ZXi Drivers is their advanced adjustability. With multiple weight port locations, players can easily customise flight path and spin for increased control. Additionally, a new 1.5-degree hosel sleeve offers 12 settings to fine-tune loft, lie, and face angle.

Alongside improvements in face flex and energy transfer, ZXi Drivers also feature a new Laser Face Milling pattern. This visible pattern stabilises spin and adds forgiveness in wet conditions for consistent performance.

ZXi Fairway Woods and Hybrids

Built on the same foundational technologies as the ZXi Drivers, the ZXi Fairway Woods and Hybrids deliver tour-level ball speed and excellent long-game performance from any position on the course. For the first time, these clubs also offer adjustability options.

“Full adjustability in our Fairways and Hybrids has been a long-awaited addition. Players now have the options to customise their ZXi Woods to their playing style and preferred ball-flight,” Brunski said.

In select ZXi Fairway Woods, a lightweight carbon crown positions mass low and maximises COR, while a stepped crown design lowers the CG, promoting higher, longer shots.

Both ZXi Fairway Woods and Hybrids feature progressive new designs, improving sole shape and increasing forgiveness overall.

Additional Features & Benefits

Rebound Frame: With a unique two-zone system that amplifies energy transfer at impact, Rebound Frame enhances flex across the face for increased power, ball speed, and distance.

Star Frame Crown (Drivers): This complex latticework structure supports an ultra-light, thin titanium crown, allowing discretionary mass placement for each Driver’s ideal launch and spin profile.

Refined Tour Shaping: ZXi Fairway Woods feature new leading-edge shaping and improved sole design for greater forgiveness. Meanwhile, ZXi Hybrids now have a larger head size and volume, with a slightly bigger toe and back for added forgiveness and confidence at address.
